Steps to Block/ Report Unauthorised Transactions


 

I. Blocking your Debit card

 

Get assistance - Contact Centre Self Service -FedMobile ( Mobile Banking ) Self Service -FedNet (Internet Banking) Self Service - SMS Get assistance - Branch
Customers from India shall dial the Toll-free number 1800- 425 -1199 or 1800-420-1199 and customers from abroad shall dial +91-484- 2630994 or +91-484-2630995 or may e-mail to ehelp@federalbank.co.in to avail the services of our Contact Center
Block debit card instantly using FedMobile, our Mobile banking facility.
 
Select the menu option Account ServicesManage Debit Card. The list of cards issued in your account will be displayed. Scroll and select the card you want to block and click Block this card.
Block debit card instantly using FedNet, our Internet Banking facility.
 
Select the menu option Debit Card ServicesBlock Debit Card. The list of cards issued in your account will be displayed. Select the card you want to block and click Submit.
Send SMS from the mobile number registered with us in the following format to the number 5676762    OR   919895088888
 
BLOCK<space>Last Four Digits of your Debit Card
 
The particular debit card linked to the registered mobile number will be blocked.
 
An SMS confirmation will be received instantly on the registered mobile number of the customer. No transactions using this card will be possible thereafter.
Contact your branch to block the debit card

 

II. Blocking of Credit Card

 

Get assistance - Contact Centre Self Service -FedNet ( Internet Banking )
Customers from India shall dial the Toll-free number 1800- 425 -1199 or 1800-420-1199 and customers from abroad shall dial +91-484- 2630994 and mail to creditcards@federalbank.co.in to avail the services of our Contact service.
Block Credit card instantly using FedNet, our Internet Banking facility.
 
Login to FedNet using valid credentials.
 
Select Credit Card module from the home screen.
 
Under Credit Card Management services, select Manage Card.
 
Click on the Report Missing Card under Manage Card section.
 
Customers can mention the details of Missing/Stolen Card and can report a  lost/stolen card and apply for a new card.

 

III. Reporting of transaction/s not done by you

 

Reporting by calling at our Contact Centre Reporting via e-mail Reporting via sending an SMS
Reporting via website
 
To report Credit card /Debit card /Internet Banking/ Mobile Banking transactions, that are not done by you, report at 1860- 419-1199 to avail the services of our Contact Centre.  Customers may e-mail to ehelp@federalbank.co.in. On receiving the e-mail, our customer care executive will call back the customer on their registered mobile number, for confirming the details provided by the customer. Customers are requested to provide the following details in the e-mail*.
By sending an SMS to 9895088888 from your registered mobile number in the format given below:
Format   : NO <space> last four digit of Federal bank account number
 
Example : NO 1248
 
Upon receiving your SMS, our customer care executive will give a callback on your registered mobile number, for obtaining the further details.

* While reporting, the following details need to be furnished by the customers, depending upon the channel through which transaction is done:

  • Account number
  • Transaction date
  • Transaction amount
  • Type of transaction
  • Debit card or ATM card number
  • Type of transaction e.g. online, at a store, local grocer, Cash withdrawal, etc.
  • Date of transaction
  • Transaction amount
