How to apply ?

  • Resident Women above 18 years can open Mahilamitra Plus account.
  • You can open the account as online or offline.
  • For opening the account online, please click here.
  • For opening the account offline, please download the account opening form. Duly filled account opening forms shall be submitted to your branch of choice along with the documents.

50% concession in Processing Fee for Home Loans is applicable for all variant except property power loan and is subject to the following -

  • Description of the Insured: Mahila Mitra Plus primary account holders of Federal Bank.
  • Applicable age bracket for insurance is 18 to 65 years.
  • Permanent Disablement is also covered up to a sum of Rs. 30,00,000 
  • For Accidental Death and Permanent Disablement coverage, the following condition should be fulfilled:

Step 1: Base Cover: Rs. 5,00,000 per customer by doing one ATM / POS / e-commerce transaction up to 50 days prior to the date of loss.

Step 2: Accelerated cover up to Rs. 25,00,000 (Total of Base + Accelerated to be Rs. 30,00,000 max). For every additional POS / e-commerce transaction carried out through the Primary Debit Card 50 days prior to the date of loss, sum insured increases by Rs. 100,000/- per transaction.

  • Air Accident is covered only if the Airline tickets are purchased through Mahila Mitra Plus savings account.
  • The following risk / perils have been explicitly excluded under the policy:
    • Injury caused by surgery
    • Nuclear energy risk
    • Professional activities of military personnel, police, defence or any other armed forces
    • Offshore activities
    • Accidental Death or Permanent Disablement due to pregnancy or childbirth
    • Insect / mosquito bite
    • Terrorism due to nuclear / chemical / biological risk
    • Adventure sports
    • Epidemic / Pandemic
    • War
  • All supporting documents relating to the claim must be submitted to the company within sixty (60) days from the date of loss & the claim intimation should be within Thirty (30) days from the date of Loss.
  • The insurance will be applicable and in-force only after 60 days of the account opening.
  • Insurance claim is applicable if the customer is maintaining the stipulated account Average monthly Balance (AMB) for the preceding month.
