Here's how Federal Bank's Adyar Branch has transformed
Art and music are two of the best ways to bring together people and
cultures. The expression of emotion through visuals and music ties
humans together as these activities cater to our most important
aspect: feelings.
Federal Bank has realised the need to connect with its customers on a
level deeper than that of give-and-take and that we as humans need to
take care of our communities and make them feel rightfully valued.
In response, the bank has chosen its Adyar branch as a way to reach
people's hearts through art.
A Portrait of Adyar
Adyar is an active town in southern Chennai, Tamil Nadu. It is rich
in history, culture, and traditions that blend in with modernity and
the daily, busy lives of people. It is regarded as one of the poshest
locales in Chennai, with a host of temples and ancient buildings.
Federal Bank realised the potential of the area to become the perfect
home for its new movement and thus embarked on a journey to transform
its branch in the city. Among the attractions, the bank has had murals
painted on the walls of the branch with the aim of capturing the
essence of Adyar. The colourful displays are an accurate and touching
depiction of the city's communities.
Federal Bank has also decided to hold an exhibition of murals in the
Adyar branch, which will help it connect to customers while also
connecting people with art.
The People of Adyar
The intent of Federal Bank's Adyar project goes beyond art. Federal
Bank has made the people of Adyar the core of the project, which is
called 'Humans of Adyar'. It is an exhibition of the stories of
memorable people in the city. This move is helping connect people to
each other's stories, bringing them closer.
Federal Bank has also enabled over 75 small businesses to be a part
of this project. More than 340 companies were equipped with mobile
points of sale (POS) to make trade easier for the community. Thus,
Federal Bank has attempted to reach people far and wide to enhance the
total banking potential of the region.
The Adyar project is the first of many more projects Federal Bank
plans to take up to strengthen its bond with the communities it serves.
