Federal Bank Receives 'Gold' Rating for Sustainable Interior Furnishings from IGBC

The Bank has been honored with the prestigious 'Gold' rating from the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) for its commitment to eco-friendly and sustainable workspace design. The award recognizes the interior furnishing works carried out at eight of the Bank's branches and office spaces, with five of them being certified this year and three last year.

The recognition was presented to Arun Vas Gopal K and Sreeraj V from Corporate Services Department, by Shekar Reddy (Vice Chairman, CII-IGBC), and Sanjay Kulkarni (Chief Engineer of Environment, Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation), during the Green Building Congress 2024 held in International Exhibition Centre, Bangalore. Ram Prashanth Manohar, IAS (Chairman, Bengaluru Water Board), also graced the ceremony, which was held on 14th November 2024.

IGBC is India's premier body for Green Building and Interior certification. It is part of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), with a vision to enable a sustainable built environment for all and to position India as a global leader in this field. Aligning with IGBC’s standards and vision, the Bank has committed to converting 10% of its workspace to be Green certified by 2028.
