Eligibility Criteria
Onboarding Criteria
Initial funding of Rs 2 Lakhs or more for new customers onboarded to the Bank. Account to be funded within 3 working days from account opening date.
OR
For Resident Salary Customers: Salary credit of Rs. 1 Lakh or more in the SB account.
On-going eligibility criteria - On-going eligibility criteria calculated at a Customer ID level or Family ID level
Customer ID level:
- Maintenance of an Average Monthly Balance of Rs 2 Lakhs in Imperio savings account OR
- Maintenance of an Average Monthly Balance of Rs 2 lakhs across savings accounts (In all SB accounts including Noor CA) OR
- Maintenance of an Average Monthly Balance of Rs 1 Lakh across savings accounts (In all SB accounts including Noor CA) and Fixed Deposits for a minimum amount of Rs 10 Lakhs OR
- Maintenance of a minimum Total Relationship Value ^ (TRV) of Rs 25 Lakhs.
- For Resident Salary Customers: Salary credit of Rs. 1 Lakh or more in the SB account.
Family ID level:
- Maintenance of Family Monthly Average Balance (FMAB) of Rs 2 Lakhs across Savings accounts (Including Noor CA) of all customer IDs linked to a particular family ID# OR
- Maintenance of Family Monthly Average Balance (FMAB) of Rs 1 Lakh in savings accounts (Including Noor CA) of all customer IDs linked to a particular family ID# and FD(s) for a minimum amount of Rs. 10 Lakhs linked to that particular family ID# OR
- Maintenance of a minimum Total Relationship Value ^ (TRV) of Rs 25 Lakhs at Family ID level.
# Family ID is generated at the time customer enrols into Family Banking program.
^ Total Relationship Value (TRV), aggregated at Customer ID or Family ID level is composed of savings accounts, Noor Current accounts and FDs.
Customers who do not maintain any one of the mentioned criteria will be converted to a lower category Savings Account with appropriate advance intimation (on half yearly basis); fees and charges of the lower SB A/c will apply accordingly.
Family Banking
Imperio Family Banking Program
Imperio customers can club the balances maintained by their family members as under to arrive at the eligibility criteria:
- Customer can include a maximum of 4 members as part of the Family Banking Program. Family is defined as Spouse, Father, Mother, Son, Daughter, Father-in-law, Mother-in-law and Siblings.
- Customer holding a Imperio account can add any of their family member (as per the family definition) maintaining an SB account in personal name with the Bank to the Family Banking Program.
- Imperio account holder will be the primary holder in the family group.
- The customer ID of the Imperio account holder would be marked as the Primary customer ID in the Family ID.
- Other Terms and Conditions as applicable to the standard ‘Savings Account’ will also be applicable to the accounts under this ’Family Banking program’. Hence, members who are part of Family Banking program will have to maintain balances as per their individual savings account requirement.
- Facility to link and delink a Customer ID to Family Banking Program can be availed by submitting an application form.
- Any member of the Family Banking Program can leave the group at any point of time by submitting the Family Banking Application form. However, if a family member who holds the Primary Customer ID wishes to leave the group / close his Imperio account, the Family Banking Program will then stand dissolved forthwith automatically.
- A new member can be added to the Family Banking Program at a later point of time, subject to maximum of 4 members. The Application form (request to become a member of Family Banking Program) is to be filled-in and signed by the new entrant & primary customer and must be submitted to the Bank.
- NRI customers can be part of Imperio Family Banking Program either as a primary account holder or as a member.
- Current accounts (except Noor CA accounts), accounts maintained by Hindu Undivided Families and No-Frills accounts are excluded from the purview of the Family Banking Program.
- Primary account holder cannot be a minor.
- Family ID is mandatory for all Imperio accounts.
- KYC Non-Complied customers are not eligible to join Family Banking Program.

Imperio Insurance Program
Imperio Insurance Program
The Bank offers following insurance coverage for Imperio main account holder:
- Accidental Death - Air Accidental Cover - Rs 100 Lakhs
- Accidental Death - Upto Rs 40 Lakhs (For Imperio Salary) / Upto Rs 30 Lakhs (For Imperio account holders maintaining any other eligibility criteria)*
- Payment Protection package - Upto Rs 2 Lakhs
- Term Life Insurance coverage - Upto Rs 1.5 Lakhs$ (Only for Imperio Salary scheme)
- Daily Hospital Cash (Accident & illness) - Rs 2500 for 10 days (1 day deductible)**
Important Terms and Conditions
- Insurance coverage is provided by HDFC ERGO General Insurance Company Ltd & Ageas Federal Life Insurance Company Ltd.
- Customers in the age group of 18 – 65 will only be covered.
- The present insurance policy is live as on 01-11-2024 and is valid until 31-10-2025.
- Insurance will be live from 60th day of customer onboarding (ie Account opening / upgradation date) and will be valid for next 12 months.
- Cover will be valid only if the customer was maintaining the Imperio eligibility criteria for the last three months from the claim date.
- Insurance coverage is extended only to primary account holders.
- *Imperio Salary - Accelerated cover up to ₹35 Lakhs (Total Base + Accelerated cover to be ₹40 Lakhs max): For every additional POS / ecommerce transaction carried out through the Imperio Debit Card up to 365 days prior to the date of loss, sum insured increases by ₹1,50,000/- per transaction. Imperio Others - Accelerated cover up to ₹25 Lakhs (Total Base + Accelerated cover to be ₹30 Lakhs max): For every additional POS / ecommerce transaction carried out through the Imperio Debit Card up to 365 days prior to the date of loss, sum insured increases by ₹1,50,000/- per transaction
- The claim shall be payable under any one section: Personal Accidental Death or Accidental Death (Air Accidents Only).
- **Waiting period will be applicable for Daily Hospital cash as per below.
- General – 30 days
- Specific illness & Procedure – 24 Months
- Pre-existing Disease – 48 Months
- $ - For Term Life Insurance coverage - ECOM / POS spent of minimum Rs.1000 within 60 days of onboarding to Imperio Salary scheme using the Imperio debit card is the basic criterion required for activation of this feature.
- Complimentary features offered in Imperio Salary schemes are solely depended on the salary credits in accounts.
- Insurance coverage will be automatically renewed every year if the customer is maintaining the Imperio eligibility criteria.
- For claiming air accidental coverage, flight ticket should be purchased using the Federal Bank Imperio debit card.
- Fraudulent charge cover for Imperio clients will be valid only for those Imperio cards applied while account opening or upgrading. If the cards are applied during interim period, the protection plan will not be applicable for the first year. Whereas the same shall be eligible depending on the card status on the subsequent year onwards.
- Accidental claim should be reported to us within 15 days

Claim Intimation Timelines: within 15 days from the date of occurrence of the event
- The cover is not valid for pilots, air crew, police, defense or any other armed forces.
- For skimming / phishing / counterfeit card / internet banking extensions: report to Bank within 60 days from the statement/billing cycle date. However, this above reporting period will not be applicable where we can establish with documentary evidence that the information of misuse was known to the insured cardholder, and he has not taken appropriate steps to prudently block or report the card misusage within 24 hours of such knowledge.
